Field Maintenance Projects Coordinator
Supervises Contractor personnel during the construction and commissioning - phases of Long Form, Short Form and Service Order Contracts on Maintenance Capital and Expense Projects.
Under the direction of a Maintenance Projects Unit Head has responsibility for directing and coordinating Contractor activities in a Maintenance Department. The responsibility includes the on-site administration of Contracts as specified in a contract's terms and conditions relative to work activities, quality control, safety, Engineering standards and General Instructions. The assigned projects vary in number, complexity and value, but usually total approximately 15 projects per year with a combined value of $2 .5 M.M.
Internal: - Daily contact with Operations foremen, Facility Inspectors, Maintenance Supervisors and their personnel to resolve technical problems, schedule plant outages and provide support services. Daily contact with the Projects Unit Head and Maintenance Engineers (Project Planners) to report on job status and contingencies.
- Frequent contact with Representatives of Engineering & Inspection to ensure project compliance with approved standards. External: - Daily contact with local mechanical, electrical and Civil engineering and construction Contractors
Representatives and personnel to advise & direct on job needs
and resolve contract and work problems. Occasional contact with the Maintenance Contracts.
Assistance Unit to assist with technical evaluations.
a) Directs maintenance project work with Contractor personnel and equipment - within conditions established by approved Long Form, Short Form and Service Order Contracts and contracting policies.
b) Guides the execution of maintenance projects under his control within the constraints of priority, schedules, cost-effectiveness and safety. Coordinates the activities of multiple Contractor and Aramco personnel, working at the same job site, to assure a minimum of delay and high level of productivity during project execution.
c) Coordinates with Material Planning, Operations, Operations Engineering and Engineering Inspection and Contractor personnel regarding all On-site requirements to facilitate job progress, eg. distribution of material to required locations, inspection of work both in progress or completed and the update of field drawing changes as required for "As Built Drawings ".
d) Inspects and ensures that good maintenance and construction practices are followed in all projects.
e) Ensures timely requests are submitted for additional Contractor services and resources.
f) Monitors maintenance projects and maintains a daily project report with comments on job progress, status, Contractor performance, quality of work, deviations, incidents and safety record.
g) Maintains records of work units completed by the Contractor to certify the accuracy and validity of contract payment documents and ensures that contract values are not exceeded.
h) Issues Material and Equipment Gate Passes and maintains a record of all material transfers and gate pass issues.
i) Reviews and approves Contractor time sheets.
j) Inspects and determines the acceptability of work in progress and completed by Contractor work forces-
1) Issues Contractor appraisal reports on completion of maintenance projects or on a periodic basis during the contract
m) Indoctrinates new Contractors in both general and specific conditions as required by the Maintenance Department or undertaking contract work at the work site.
n) Performs other miscellaneous duties as directed by the
Maintenance Projects Unit Head.
A. Completion of ITC: English, ERW; Math, MI. B. Experience Required: Eleven (11) years in either Building and equipment maintenance/construction/contract administration. Industrial plant (Oil and gas facilities or power generation) maintenance/construction/operations/contract administration. Language Requirements: English - good speaking and writing knowledge. Others: Must possess a Saudi Arab Government driver’s license.
